A game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors" challenged contestants to anticipate opponent strategies. Bots built in the .NET framework to leave one team standing. Teams competed for a one-year subscription to MSDN Ultimate; the second-place prize—a Snuggie—inspired a round of applause. Snacks, sandwiches, and soda kept everyone in "the zone" as pwnage ensued.
Adam Ryder assumed the next opponent move would not be a duplicate, and moved to beat the non-duplicate option. Team Ninjitsu (Vijay Jagdale and Eric Vogel) counted the number of "Rocks," "Paper," and "Scissors" thrown by opponents, throwing to beat the opposing team's most-used play. Visit Codeplex to see what strategy you pick with the Programming Contest .NET framework.
We cannot wait to host a second contest, and see what solutions are next!
