For the second consecutive year, Gravity Works Design & Development earned a coveted spot on the Inc. 5000 list! With more than 7 million private businesses in the U.S., making the list is quite an accomplishment, but we feel that it’s sweeter the second time around.
Each year, Inc. Magazine releases its list of the 5000 fastest-growing, private companies in the nation. Businesses must show notable revenue growth for three consecutive years to make the cut (2014–2017). Gravity Works earned spot #3,002 on the list, with a total growth rate of 141% since 2014.
Not all who make the list get to repeat. According to Inc., over the past 36 years, only one in 3 Inc. 5000 members have appeared twice on the list. To earn multiple appearances, businesses must continue building momentum and redefining their level of success.
“I think all small business owners come to a point where they have to decide whether it’s time to camp or climb,” said Gravity Works owner, Jeff McWherter. “At Gravity Works, we climb.”
Here are some other ways that we climbed in the last year:
- +25 website and app launches including the Christman Company, Bridge Magazine, Tompkins International, and MSU Food
- More than 40 current projects including Wayne County Airport Authority (DTW), Guardian Industries, and Michigan State University Infrastructure Planning & Facilities (MSU IPF)
- Expanded our footprint with more remote employees across North America
- Awards: 4 Gold Addy Awards, 3 Vega Digital Awards, 2 W3 Awards
So what other exciting plans are in the works? For starters, we plan to launch a new website and introduce a rebranding campaign, including a logo redesign! We expect to roll out the new Gravity Works look within the upcoming year!
