Usability Testing

The new NSU website portrays their quality education and supportive community by showcasing the wide range of academic programs and flexible curriculum. This fresh design is inspired by NSU’s heritage, and built to attract students while guiding curious website visitors into successful alumni.

Simplified content management—like customizing layouts, adding events, uploading files, and announcing news—benefits website administrators. We worked closely with a diverse group of NSU students, faculty, and representatives for a cohesive, user-focused result across the NSU family of websites.

  • Cohesive web presence represents all departments across three campuses.
  • Mobile-optimized design offers modern CSS animations and interactive features.
  • Content Management System (CMS) makes it simple to manage pages, events, and forms.
  • User-tested website meets Federal and Oklahoma accessibility standards.

Engaging Results

This polished, modern website promotes clear calls to action with a special focus on applications and enrollment. NSU deserves a website that engages prospective students; since launch, the “future students” landing page has gone from a 57% to a 17% bounce rate. Half of all visitors to the “visit campus” form are on mobile devices, and they benefit from our responsive development.

NSU stands by breaking barriers—supporting first-generation, minority, and part-time students—so Gravity Works launched the website with WCAG 2.0 Level AA, Oklahoma’s SOITAS, and Section 508 accessibility compliance.

Powerful Process

Our team flew to Oklahoma to tour the campuses, discuss branding, and interview focus groups. We led a CMS upgrade, and a collaborative design process with input from dozens of stakeholders.

Research guided the entire project, from initial security audit to user acceptance testing. Extensive testing included cross-browser compatibility, page speed, accessibility, and usability research.

This full-university website launched in scope, in budget, and on time...with a 90-day timeline. All three campuses and every department now benefit from the cohesive, compelling website that shares the NSU message.
